Family Beach Holiday Gulf Shores, Alabama

Wave boarding – Gulf Shores, Alabama

Family beach vacation was granted. It was an awesome beach holiday. Darling daughter was very happy that we were able to go to the beach this summer and had a great trip to Gulf Shores, Alabama. We left Texas Saturday morning, stopped in Slidell, Louisiana to spend the night, then headed to Gulf Shores the next day. It was a very long drive but it was worth it. We enjoyed our beach time and exploring during the five days stay.

Memorial Day 2020 Weekend Getaway Beavers Bend State Park

We finally went on a road trip on Memorial Day weekend. We drove back to Oklahoma to spend a couple of days in Broken Bow and visited Beavers State Park. It has been a family tradition every year. We love the place more and more every time we visit.

Mountain Fork River at Beavers Bend State Park

This visit was mostly to do exploring and hiking along the river. Because it’s the start of the Summer Break, there are so many visitors to the lake. We couldn’t even find a parking spot close to the swimming areas. So we just enjoyed the cold water at the spillway.

It’s always fun to explore especially when you are with family and friends. You build strong bond together sharing stories that bring happiness to your soul.

We’re all aware that travel situations are not gonna be the same. Always be cautious and keep your health and safety a priority.

Fun Learning Experience at Fort Worth Museum of Science and History

Fort Worth Museum of Science and History – Fort Worth, Texas

This year’s Spring Break was spent in Fort Worth. We visited all the attractions my DD planned of visiting.

Because we arrived quite early at the hotel, DD and I decided to go to the museum in Downtown Fort Worth. There were a few nice museums there but we agreed to go to the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. Lots of interesting artifacts (replicas) from the dinosaur age are on display in the museum. We enjoyed the most is the history of ranching in Texas. DD and I were fascinated with the different breeds of cows. 🙂

It feels mind-refreshing to be in a museum. You will see exhibits that will fascinate you and will make you ask “did these really happen?”. You will learn lots of knowledge and ingenuity. The experience takes you to the past while you are living in the modern times-where the old and the new meet and you are in between.

Museums are one of the best learning resources for your children. You should visit at least one whenever you travel or when you are on vacation. You and your family will surely enjoy it. 🙂
