Starting The Summer Break At The Spray Park In Celebration Park

Summer is just around the corner my friends.  What are your plans to beat the heat? Are you heading to the beach or to a cold place this summer?

While you are in the process of finalizing your summer vacation plans, take your kids to splash park or a spray park near you. Children enjoy anything involving water fun during the summer.

My cousin and a few mom friends took our girls to the spray park in Allen.  It is quite a bit of a drive but we like it there better because the spray park has more than five water play equipment that the children enjoy. Next to the spray park is a big playground  with swings and all.  There is also a pavilion with tables and chairs for picnics. For some relaxation time, visitors can also enjoy having a good conversation under the shady trees along side of the spray park.

There is so much joy in the children’s eyes splashing and playing with the water in the spray park. Just don’t forget to re-apply your trusted sunscreen on your little ones’ skin for protection against the harmful sun rays. My darling daughter and I use Banana Boat Sunscreen Spray with SPF 50+. It is non-greasy and easy to apply sunscreen spray. Important:  Close eyes when spraying on the face. Sunglasses are an essential this summertime, too. They protect your eyes from harmful glare of the sun. For glare sensitive people like me, I always wear sunglasses outdoors. They are a must-have accessories.

So whatever you decide to do outdoors this summer, always bring sunscreen and wear sunglasses.

Tips For Comfortable Summer Traveling

We love summertime but we also know that summer sun can be mean especially when the temperatures reach three digits high.  Summer is the season when we enjoy road travels and the outdoor activities.  But the hot summer sun sometimes get into our nerves and makes us feel uncomfortable.  The most affected area of our bodies is the skin.  Next is the eyes.  But we can beat the discomfort with these quick helpful tips.

Helpful Tips 

  • Travel light.  Don’t bring too much c**p that you won’t even wear or don’t even need.
  • Wear shorts, capris, and light-colored shirts and tops.
  • Bring sunscreen, facial moisturizer, and lip balm.  These are must-haves to prevent our skin from sunburn and skin irritations.
  • Wear good sunglasses.  Especially those of you who have glare problems and vision problems.
  • Wear summer sandals.  There is nothing more comfortable than wearing our favorite comfortable summer sandals in the summer.

  • Carry a medium-sized tote handbag to store and carry your personal things and important stuff around.  This way, all you have to do is grab-and-go.

Fun Thrill Rides And Attractions At SeaWorld

My family and I had a great time at Sea World.  Since it’s been five years, some of the attractions were gone and Sea World put new ones.  Parking areas are huge but it’s very difficult to find a spot close to the theme park gates. (Tip: As soon as you enter the parking area at Sea World, pick a parking spot immediately.  Do not drive around for a long time. Chances are you will wind up at the very end of the parking area.)

You can actually purchase tickets for Sea World online and in discounted prices, too.  It is very helpful to buy tickets online than at the gates because you will be in a super long lines.  My husband is stubborn sometimes.  I planned to buy tickets the night before so we can get them cheaper but he insisted to buy the tickets at the theme park.  So when we got there at around 1:00 P.M., the line was very long already.  Good thing it was not too sunny that Saturday.  The weather was just perfect for our Sea World adventure.

We enjoyed the thrill rides, attractions, and shows at Sea World.  Few of DD’s favorites were the Journey to Atlantis and the Shamu Kids Rollercoaster.  She loved the Shamu Show and the Sea Lion High Show.  Shows are in timely manner so you have to decide which ones you want to watch next.

My dear husband and I were at Sea World five years ago and we tried riding the Steel Eel and the Great White.  I told my DH I don’t want to ride the Steel Eel again.  He didn’t want to either.  I thought I was going to pass out after the ride.  I lost my voice up there.  I ran out of screams. 😀

My daughter enjoyed the Shamu Roller Coaster.  She wanted to go again and again. We rode a couple of times and that was it.  We wanted to try the Journey To Atlantis.  It was the very first time my DD tried a thrill ride like that high.  When she was told that she met the height requirements to ride, she remarked “Yes!”.  I think I screamed the loudest up there.
