Let’s admit it that besides saving money for our kids’ education, future business ventures, and emergency purposes, we are also saving money for recreation, entertainment, and traveling. Correct? Lots of priorities but sometimes we forget to treat ourselves to a getaway.
My husband and I do save for future travel plans. In fact, we are now starting to build up our travel savings because we are now planning our next vacation to the Philippines in two years. Although it’s still far ahead, we want to have something to look forward to so there’s a motivation for us to save money as much as we can from the pay check. Although I am a full-time stay-at-home-mom and wife, I still manage to make money by selling online unused and pre-owned stuff. I started selling online four years ago. My husband understands why I do this because I want to help saving for our travel funds. As years pass by, plane ticket rates are getting higher and higher. The food prices keep going up. The travel budget we had two years ago should at least increase by half. Am I feeling the pressure already? As much as possible, I don’t want to feel stressed by this.
It is hard to find money nowadays where employment competition is high. I want to look for a job and go back to work but I have to stay home full time until my darling daughter goes to school. My darling husband is a good provider and a responsible father. Hence, I will stick to making money online right now.
Hopefully, we will be able to reach our travel budget savings goal before the vacation time comes. We will not go during the peak season next time. Oh no! Summer is peak season! Now we might have a problem.
