Here is mine. I don’t know about you but the first time I saw this lovely truck at Randall Noe auto dealership in Tyler, I fell in love with it. Ugh! I wish we have that much money to buy it. It’s a very beautiful truck. The color is a little lighter in person. This is a Chevrolet Texas Edition Silverado pick up truck with four doors. It’s fully loaded and boy, sure is pretty.
My family and I were happy that we were able to take this new baby home this afternoon. My dear husband was shopping for cars since the Silverado truck broke down on his way home three weeks ago. His stress and worry levels were very high that he’s not sleeping good. My father-in-law was helping him on car shopping in Tyler, too. In fact, we visited a car dealership in Tyler a week ago and looked at particular car models, recent Hyundai Sonata and Elantra models, that my husband was interested in. Although we saw nice looking ones, the listed prices were still high.
While surfing auto dealerships online, my dear husband found a couple Hyundai cars and he visited the dealer’s three days ago. But this pre-owned Hyundai Elantra 2014 Sport in Huffines in Plano got his attention. The listed priced was a bit high but he was watching it. The price was reduced the other day. Then this morning, it’s price was reduced again. Huffines wanted to get it out of their lot. 🙂 Anyway, we all went to Plano because my husband wants me to drive it around and make sure that I fit right on the driver’s seat because I sit on a pillow whenever I drive the Toyota Scion. Gladly I fit perfectly for the Hyundai Elantra Sport has an electric seat adjustments which, I think, is a very big advantage for this car model.
Alright, so we got a good deal. Huffines is our bank’s preferred car dealer so the transaction didn’t take more than two hours. And, we got to take our new car home.
So we’re back again to the car dealer today. Last Thursday’s service was not completely successful. Only one and the first task has been done and we had to come back today to have them finish the service. There didn’t have the parts for the second.
The service manager at the car dealer put my car down to the afternoon service appointment which is 1:30 P.M. I dropped off my car at 1:15 P.M. He said the work’s gonna take about a couple of hours. I was confident on that so I told my husband we will just go to the nearest store to kill time. My daughter and I had lunch at Rosa’s Mexican Restaurant which is a walking distance from the car dealer’s premises. We took our time eating our Chicken Enchalada with rice and beans. I thought of getting some dessert so I ordered a couple of .Sopapillas. I think we stayed there about 30 minutes.
After we had our late lunch, my daughter and I walked to Costco. It’s located at the back of the car dealer’s building. My husband and I had a membership at Costco but that was long time ago. He didn’t want to renew for now. So my daughter and I went in there and looked around. She saw a very nice book and she wanted to buy it. Since we were not members, we cannot buy anything. I really had to talk sincerely to my DD about not buying the book. Gladly, she listened. We tried some food samples, too. 🙂 We had enough of that so we checked the home department. Bored and tired, we sat down on a very comfortable rocking recliner.
It was close to 4:00 P.M. when we left Costco and walked our way to the car dealer. I asked the receptionist if my car is done. She asked my name and checked in her file. She said it’s still at the service because she hasn’t got my paperwork yet. So my daughter and I didn’t go anywhere else. We waited for another 30 minutes. The service manager talked to me apologizing it took so long. My car’s difficult work because they had to service the brakes. Good thing my cellphone and DD’s Amazon Kindle Fire have enough power that we entertained ourselves with watching cartoon videos on Youtube thru their free Wi-Fi.
It was exactly 5:00 P.M. when the service manager called me to sign the paperwork. In no time, my daughter and I walked out and hopped into the car and head home.
