I can’t sleep on the plane. Some people do but I couldn’t. Well, I could take a nap but not a long complete sleep. It’s the anxiety that gets me. I want to get to the vacation destination immediately. Looking at the in-flight entertainment tv screen showing the maps and flight path is like a ‘torture’. You know, it’s like we are just giving ourselves a hard time being anxious to land safe and sound to our destination. It does not take long on domestic flights. But flying international on a 15-hour flight, your behind hurts from sitting for a long period of time.
What helps is grab the provided pillow and sit on it. It gives your behind comfort in flight. I keep myself entertained by watching movies and reading magazines. But when the lights are off, I take a nap. Then I stand up to walk for a few minutes.
It is quite hard when traveling with kids though. We are always concern with everybody’s safety making sure they are buckled up and settled. Keeping them entertained, too. That’s also one of the reasons why I couldn’t sleep. I let my daughter get comfortable on her seat first before I do.
