My Sister Should Wear This On Her Graduation Day

Year 2014 is approaching fast and we’ll be celebrating the New Year before we know it.  You know how much I look forward to our family’s next long vacation.  I love going to a vacation.  Relaxing and having a great time with the family in a beach resort.  My husband and I are planning to another vacation in the next two years so we can save enough money.

But early next year is my youngest sister’s graduation from college.  I talked to my husband about going home to attend the graduation.  Just me.  It would be difficult for me if I’ll take my little one with me.  Traveling with a toddler by myself is not gonna be easy.  Plus, my husband will be totally worried about us.

Hopefully I can go home on my sister’s graduation day because, I already searched for graduation dresses 2013 and found a graduation dress for her.  I have also seen a dress that I would like to wear on her graduation day.  The A-Line/Princess Halter Knee-Length dress on the left will mostly likely fit for my sister.  It’s too cute!  She likes pink and I can imagine how gorgeous she would look in that dress in pink.  The dress on the right, Square Neckline Kate Middleton Style, is perfect for myself to wear on the occasion.  I like the color of it because it’ll make me look taller.  🙂  On special occasion like this, you would want to find a dress first before anything else.

I am so optimistic that I will be able to attend my sister’s graduation day next year.  If it’s confirmed, the next step is planning a family dinner at our favorite resort hotel.

Inner Space Cavern Tour

The second day (Wednesday) of our mini vacation in Austin is the most exciting day because it’s the Fresh Beat Band’s concert to be held in downtown.  Since the concert is in the evening and we have traveled this far, we decided to visit a tourist attraction.  My dear husband mentioned about a cave that his family visited when he was a little boy.

We looked at Inner Space Cavern online.  It’s located in Georgetown, Texas about 27 miles from Downtown Austin.  After lunch at IHOP, we decided to go to Georgetown.  I’ve never seen a cave before so I was excited about the idea of getting a tour into the cave.

Anything related to Science interests me.  Geology, for example, is an interesting branch of Science where scientists study and share their knowledge about the Earth and rocks.  Inner Space Cavern is a perfect educational tour destination.  We saw a few groups of students touring the cave.  When our tour guide name Billy showed up, the journey underground began.  As you know, Inner Space Cavern is an underground cave.  It’s estimated about 100 million years old.

It’s warm in the cave.  But there’s a ventilation so oxygen can get in.  My DD had fun exploring.  We saw lots of rock formations in the cave.  Every section in the cave has a name.  I forgot all of them.  Hahaha!  I’m sorry.  We even saw a little bat.  Two of my favorites in the cave are the area where the core drill took place and the clear waters.  I thought those are cool.  As soon as we’re done touring, we couldn’t wait to gasp cool air outside.

Scientists discovered and gathered fossils and bones of extinct animals from the cave too.  It’s truly amazing.  My husband, darling daughter, and I enjoyed our exploration.

When you visit Texas, don’t forget to explore Inner Space Cavern.

Mini Vacation In Austin

It is my very first time coming to Austin.  So I am kind of excited to see what the city looks like.  As expected it is a busy place.  And because there are prestigious universities in Austin, there are college dorms and apartments in Downtown.  I was about to book a hotel in Downtown Austin but my dear husband said it doesn’t have to be in downtown.  So I looked and found a place we can stay during our mini vacation in Austin.  I booked a  room accommodation in Rodeway Inn-University.  It is located along I-35 and a mile or two from downtown.  We got a room rate of $79 per room per night for two nights.  The place is decent and affordable.  For out of town travelers who want a cheap hotel accommodation with continental breakfast, I recommend Rodeway Inn-University.

Ready to get cozy and relax.

The check-in time was 3:00 P.M..After the check-in, we drove around downtown and looked for a place to eat for dinner.  Because  I want to eat something heavy, we spotted a Panda Express on Airport Boulevard.  DD likes eating at Panda Express anyway.  DH bought a hamburger somewhere else.

And because it’s our first time to be in Austin, we drove around after dinner looking for restaurants to dine in with the next day.  We passed by an IHOP and a seafood restaurant.  We were very tired from the long drive.  We head back to the hotel and relaxed.
