After eight months of waiting for the Petition To Marry, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services or USCIS granted approval to the application. As soon as I received the Notice of Action stating my medical appointment and visa interview schedules, I diligently continued gathering and organizing the required documents for the Fiance(e) Visa interview.
The US Embassy in Manila, Philippines periodically changes their policy on visa matters. That is why it is recommended to always check with the US Embassy the interview requirements, payment procedures, and visa interview scheduling.
When the medical examinations went well and the visa was approved, I booked a ticket via Korean Air and got a cheap flight to Texas, USA immediately. It was in February of 2008 when I arrived in the USA together with a fellow Filipina I met in Manila.
