Reminder If You Are Riding A Train In England

If you are riding a train in England and you decide to get off before your stop, think twice.  Two passengers traveling from London tto Southhampton and decided to disembark two stops early, at Eastleigh.  When they handed their tickets to the Eastleigh agent, they were fined $175 – far more than the tickets cost – because they did not get off at the correct stop.  The lady passenger called it “utter madness” to be fined for getting off the train early.  She pointed out it would be justified if they had gotten off two stops beyond their destination.

Admin:  Odd.  But I guess that’s the train company’s policy.  There is nothing they can do with it but pay the fine.

Beauty And The Beast Tour In Tyler

It’s girls night out this evening with my MIL, SIL and her daughter.  My MIL bought me a ticket to the Beauty And The Beast theater play held at the Cowan Center in University of Texas at Tyler.  We’ve never been there before until tonight.  University of Texas is one of the prestigious college university in Texas.  And the Cowan Center has been the venue of theatrical and musical plays in Tyler for years.

This is the second time I watched a theater play.  It was during my college days when I saw one.  It was a Shakespeare’s play called “The Taming of the Shrew”.  Watching the play was a requirement in our Literature class.  Then we had make and submit a synopsis.

I have seen Beauty And The Beast movie more often because my niece and nephews loved to watch animated movies.  And watching the whole story played live is a great experience to me.  I love the props and the performers.  My two favorite scenes were they sing with Gaston, and the welcoming of Belle in the castle singing “Be Our Guest”.  So extravagant!

Cameras off because taking pictures during the show is not allowed.  But we all had a wonderful time.

A Wreck Can Happen In A Blink Of An Eye

On my way home from Plano yesterday, I almost had a crash with someone while attempting to switch lane on Hwy 78.  Cars were running 50 mph including mine and changing lanes should be done before reaching Walmart.

Whenever I want to change lanes, I always look above my shoulders to check my blind spots before putting the blinkers on.  That moment I had to go to the middle lane.  My blind spot was clear so turned blinker on.  A quick look on the road and  ready to take the middle lane a car was just an arm away right beside me as I looked quickly.  Out from nowhere, the car with it’s lady driver almost hit me.  That was really close! Whew! I jerked the steering wheel away from the middle lane in continuous speed because there were cars behind me.  I screamed a little but I did not panic.  I got home safely, thank God.

In a blink of an eye a wreck can happen if you are not watchful.  Driving is challenging.  We do not know what is going to happen when we are on the road.  We just have to be very careful and watchful.  Observe traffic signs and obey traffic rules.  Always check your blind spots before turning the blinker on.  Look again before changing lanes.  And most important, pray for guidance before hitting the road.
