Here we go.
We are back at Red Roof Inn in Irving. My family and I, together with my brother-in-law, are going on a holiday a.k.a summer vacation. We are going to the Philippines again. This time my brother-in-law is going with us. He had been to Asia three years ago but not yet to the Philippines. So this is going to be his first time visiting my country. I lived in one of the islands in the Visayas Region called Leyte. We will be taking a domestic flight going there from Manila.
We leave tomorrow morning via Korean Air this time because we are building up our mileage points again. Gladly I was able to update our Skypass membership accounts before getting our tickets issued. Our passports are recent, hotel and resort bookings are paid and confirmed, and my Naturalization Certificate is attached inside my passport. Copies of the travel documents, itinerary and contacts are distributed in all of our check in baggage. Now we are all set. We’re very excited to see family and friends again.
Bags are packed and ready to go.
This vacation is a celebration of my 10th wedding anniversary. And part of this celebration, we are all going to Coco Beach Resort in Oriental Mindoro. DH and I have been considering this getaway to Coco Beach for our anniversary. I am sure it is going to be great.
After this post, and some online tasks, I am going to relax and prepare myself for a long a**-burning flight tomorrow.
Thank you all for safe travel wishes. *heart*
I am getting more and more anxious for our vacation to the Philippines. As the departure gets closer, I could not help but over think about the preparation and the travel plans. Although all the hotel accommodations and air tickets are fully-paid, still I need to go through all of them to make sure I did not miss a booking invoice.
All booking, except the international airline tickets, were booked online. For the international airline tickets, I contacted our travel usual travel consultant for it. They have been very helpful to us so far. If you want assistance on your travel plans, you may contact them at Emerald Travel and Tours on Facebook. Their website is under construction so it is better to contact them thru phone.
I can’t wait to see my family again. My darling daughter and I were just there but two years feels like a long time. 🙂
Fort Worth Botanic Garden
Spring Break already? Wow! How fast this school year is passing by. We are so excited to go on a family mini-vacation again. This Spring Break we are not going very far. We are on a staycation. And our darling daughter already planned where she wants to go-to the zoo. Haha! But the trip to the zoo is tomorrow. We still had an hour spare after checking in at Extended Stay of America in Fort Worth so we agreed to go to the botanic gardens.
Japanese Garden in Fort Worth Botanic Garden
I missed this place. It’s been 10 years since I visited Fort Worth Botanic Garden for the very first time upon arrival in Texas from the Philippines. A few attractions looked old but the ambiance still feels the same. Serene. I can spend all day here. So lovely and peaceful. My darling daughter loved it here, too. She said the Japanese Garden is her most favorite. She fed the koi fish which she enjoyed the most. We saw a lot of blooms along the pathways but most of the flowering plants are not in full blooms yet. I am sure in April this place is full of colors. You should visit.
Beautiful Cherry Tree in bloom. I am so in love with these Cherry blossoms.
