My cousin and I were supposed to go to a pumpkin patch today in Rockwall. We have been planning it because we haven’t been to one before. I thought our little girls would enjoy seeing real pumpkins, games, and hay maze at the patch. But there was a thunderstorm forecast today. The weather became unpleasant and suddenly it got cold today. So the visit to the pumpkin patch was postponed until next Saturday.
Fall is the time for pumpkin patches and harvest celebration. It is one of the traditions here in the US where people gather and celebrate good harvest. And a thanksgiving feast comes next.
I looked for pumpkin patch locations within and around Dallas area. The Dallas Arboretum is having it’s grand pumpkin patch until November 27, 2013. The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is open 9:00A.M. to 5:00 P.M. daily. For admission fees, kindly visit www.dallasarboretum.org for more information. I am trying to see if my schedule will allow us to go there before November.
It’s getting cooler and cooler as days pass by. That is why I would like to take the opportunity and the nice cool weather to get our little travels going. We don’t want to miss this year’s pumpkin patch.
