A Tour At The Texas State Capitol In Austin

Our mini vacation in Austin was very enjoyable because we were able to go to a cavern tour in Georgetown, Texas.  We also visited the Austin Capitol.  We were able to go inside and tour the beautiful historic building.  I guess they do it on weekdays.

We got to see portraits of the Texas Governors displayed on every floor of the building.  We also got the chance to go inside the House of Representatives.  On that day, there’s a school activity going on and DD was trying to be a part of the event.  When the students raised their hands (I guess to ask questions to the guest speaker), DD raised her hand too.

It’s really amazing how huge and beautiful Austin Capitol is.  The architecture and structures are remarkable.  There are monuments in front of the capitol honoring the heroes and people how made great contributions to building Texas and gaining it’s freedom.

It was a wonderful day and the weather was nice.  We took a few pictures as remembrance that we’ve been in Austin.  After touring, we decided to check out the Fresh Beat Band concert venue which is at the ACL (Austin City Limits Moody Theatre) located at West Willie Nelson Street in Downtown Austin.  So drove around Downtown.  As we were approaching the place, we noticed some canopies along West 2nd Street.  I remember that there will be a  Formula One Grand Prix the next day.  Maybe that’s what they’re for.

So we found the concert venue and we head back to the hotel to relax and get ready for the next itinerary – The Fresh Beat Band concert at 6:00 P.M.

Going To Austin In A Week

In about a week’s time our family will be going to Austin, Texas for a special event in the city.  We have been planning a trip to Austin for months because of this one-time event that kids are waiting for.  It’s The Fresh Beat Band Concert, back in demand.  I have been waiting since last year for a concert tour because my darling daughter is a fan.  The concert tickets are sold out here in Grand Pairie.  So I tried looking up online for available slots.  Gladly, the Austin venue still have available tickets.

So concert tickets for The Fresh Beat Band were bought in advance.  Now, I am in search of a hotel to provide us an exceptional accommodation while we are in Austin for the very first time.  I spent a day browsing hotels, checking and comparing room rates, and reading reviews.  Besides good deals on hotel accommodation, honest reviews are also very important to consider before booking a hotel.  Hopefully, I can find a better deal and classy hotel for us.  My little girl is excited about the concert.  I am also excited about visiting Austin.  Another event in Austin next week is The 2013 FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX which will be held beginning Thursday, November 14th at the Circuit of Americas.  This is a super exciting event in Austin because it’s the Formula 1 World Championship.

There are still places in Texas that we want to visit.  In the near future, we can  travel all over Texas.  That’s one of our goals.

Minimized Traveling

After a long vacation and big adventure last year, our family has minimized traveling this year.  We haven’t started saving for our next vacation.  Travel plans in the next three years are still for discussion because we have so many things to consider before that.

I think one of our trip this year is gonna be to watch The Fresh Beat Band concert in Austin.   Which reminds me that I have to check the email sent to me with our ticket details and stuff.  I will have to dig into my Yahoo inbox.  I hope I can find that email ASAP to avoid problems.
