Texas Strong, American Spirit

I’m so touched how people are reaching out their hands to help the victims of the Hurricane Harvey in South Texas, especially in the city of Houston.  It only means that there are still goodhearted people left in this world. God bless Texas…God bless America.

Flocks of Geese Winging On Their Migration Journey To The South

Geese in flight – migration

Flock of geese winging their way to the South.

Stuck in heavy traffic on Hwy 78 by the dam in Wylie (Texas) around 4:00 P.M. from a doctor’s appointment, my daughter and I saw flocks of birds flying in formation in the sky.  We’re not sure if those were Canada geese, snow geese, or Brants. All we know was that they’re on their migration journey to the South for breeding, feeding, and shelter.  There were lots and lots of them.  In traffic barely moving, my daughter and I tried counting the flocks.  It was more than 50 flocks…big and small formations.  Amazing!!!
