Customer Complaint

I was bad trip at work this evening. This is what I get by being very helpful with customers. See, a customer will complain about me on Monday. About what? For trying to help. She said that I was rude and she felt aggravated though all I wanted to do is to help her with a purchase. According to her, I was thinking that she will get out of the store with the merchandise.

Things happen at the same time that time. After dealing with that customer, the phone started to get crazy and two customers are in line waiting to get their transaction done.

The story about the complain is not complicated. The customer just wanted to make me feel bad about what happened to her gift card and the merchandise that she cannot purchase with it. Oh well, I will wait for her to call on Monday. She is very welcome to talk to my manager anytime.

You cannot please everybody. And that is true. Though you gave your best customer service, still, some people do not appreciate you.

Rated According To Job Performance

Do you complain? I mean do you complain about not getting a salary raise or something? My advice is, don’t. If you are a hardworking employee and deserving for a raise, the management sees it and noted everything about your job. That is why there is a yearly evaluation. We, employees, are evaluated and rated according to our job performance. This is one of the basis to getting a salary increase.

There are people who complain because they are not satisfied with the salary they get. And some companies do not consider that because of business crisis. Other companies do not give salary increase at all. That is why the employees look for a high paying job. I do not blame them. I was once in that situation also.

I know the situation is tough these days. That is why I am hanging on to my job. If you like your job, you should too.

Unethical And Unprofessional

I super hate back fighters. I think they are traitors. Back fighting, saying negative things or making fun of other people, is an unethical practice in the workplace. Especially if you are making fun of your subordinates or of the person in a higher position than yours. I have observed this kind of humiliation in my previous jobs. People like them are everywhere. No work ethics. What a shame.

As a professional manager or supervisor, you should act as an example to your subordinates so they will look up to you and respect you. If you want to question the higher boss’s implementation of rules and regulations in the company, ask him/her personally. It is not proper to say something negative and make fun out of the person. Others may laugh with you, but to other people’s mind, you are just showing your cowardice and unprofessionalism.

I am expressing my thought in this post referring to the managers I closed with in the store today 🙂
