My Favorite Carrier

Here is an update on our upcoming vacation to the Philippines.  We talked to our travel agent in Plano regarding our plans to travel this year.  We asked about ticket prices and advice on departure dates.  Because we think of going within the fourth  quarter of this year, the airfare is extremely high due to high season.  We were comparing ticket prices between departure dates and we agreed to avail the option that we can get savings of $1000 from airfare.

Like before, we will be flying Korean Air.  My husband and I liked Korean Air because it flies direct to Seoul, Korea and they always have reasonable ticket prices.  It has been a pleasant experience flying with Korean Airlines.  It is our favorite carrier.

If you have not tried it yet, go to KoreanAir.com and check their flight specials, travel, and tours.

First International Flight

Part I

In three days I will be celebrating the 4th anniversary of my arrival here in the US.  Oh how fast the time flies.  My coming here was to marry the wonderful guy I met six years ago.

I flew by myself via Korean Airlines because it has the cheapest airfare from Manila to my point of entry which is Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW).  That was the very first time I flew international.  Korean Air has flights from Manila to DFW at 12 A.M. Saturdays.  The lay-over in Seoul/Incheon Airport is six hours but I did not have enough time to rest, maybe, also because of the excitement I was feeling that I will be with my beloved for good.  We arrived in DFW Airport Saturday at exactly 9:30 A.M.  The time change really gave me a bad jet lag.  Hah!

The More Money You Save, The Better The Travel

Saving money for travel needs a lot of dedication.  My husband and I are now into getting ready for our trip-hopefully some time this year-by putting extra money into travel savings.  We are budgeting for the three of us:  husband, baby, and me.

Two years ago, we booked our flights three months before the date of departure.  We got the lowest airfare from Korean Air.  We like flying Korean Air because it departs on time, the crew is friendly, the food is fine, and it lands sweetly.  I think it is a cool airline.  In addition, the lay-over in Korea Incheon Airport is only about four hours.  Korean Air has a direct flight from Dallas-Fort Worth to Seoul then few hours of waiting in the airport and the next flight is to Manila.

It surely is wonderful to go for a vacation.  The more money you save, the better travel you will have.
