I am married for two months now and I can say I am enjoying it. Steve and I wed at the Rose Garden in Tyler on April 12, 2008. I still recall how wonderful our wedding day was…bright morning sun, cool wind, singing birds, and happy guests. The highlight of the place was the fragrant blooms of roses in different colors. I can still savor the fragrance of the roses. That was the most precious moment of my life. We visited the Rose Garden and we were so amazed how pretty the garden was because the roses were fully bloomed.
On our first ‘month-sary’, Steve and I went to the Japanese Garden in Fort Worth. He gave me shots of Asti, the brand of wine we love because of its soothing taste. I gave him chocolates. This month we set ourselves a date to the movies.
We are getting along well as husband and wife. We are at the starting point of our careers and adjustments. My goal is to keep our marriage fresh by celebrating the ‘month-sary’ even in a simple way. Having fun together is important to me. Days, weeks, months and even years will come. But as long as we hold on tight to the vows we gave to each other, everything will be alright. I am so happy I marry a good man.
