One of my cousins who lives in Dubai came to see me and my family few weeks ago. She is a cabin crew (flight stewardess or flight attendant as you call it) for Emirates Airlines. She is still in training and good thing that she was one of the crews who went to fly here in Dallas.
Together with my darling daughter, I picked up my cousin at the Marriott Hotel in Addison where she was staying around 5:00 P.M. on the day of her arrival one Wednesday. She and her crew arrived at 11:00 A.M. So she hasn’t had her full rest that day. But it was great that we were able to meet because that was very first time I saw her since her family lives in the Middle East.
To be honest, I am not very familiar in and around Dallas. I was looking at a travel guide leaflet but I wasn’t sure where to take my cousin so we can have some bonding time. And it was close to night time and some attractions are close at 5:00 P.M. In addition, it’s rush hour and if we have decided to go to a special place, it would take us more than an hour to get there because of heavy traffic. She said it’s fine if we can go to a park. So we went to a nearby park. We walked on the trails, took pictures, and talked and talked and talked. After about an hour and a half of bonding at the park, I took her to my house to my husband. We took her to Big Daddy’s Restaurant for dinner. It was a nice day and wonderful evening with my cousin from Dubai. We had a great time together. I drove her back to her hotel in Addison around midnight.
