Can’t Help But Look At Flight Path On In-Flight TV Screen

flight path

I can’t sleep on the plane.  Some people do but I couldn’t.  Well, I could take a nap but not a long complete sleep.  It’s the anxiety that gets me.  I want to get to the vacation destination immediately.  Looking at the in-flight entertainment tv screen showing the maps and flight path is like a ‘torture’.  You know, it’s like we are just giving ourselves a hard time being anxious to land safe and sound to our destination.  It does not take long on domestic flights.  But flying international on a 15-hour flight, your behind hurts from sitting for a long period of time.

What helps is grab the provided pillow and sit on it.  It gives your behind comfort in flight.  I keep myself entertained by watching movies and reading magazines.  But when the lights are off, I take a nap.  Then I stand up to walk for a few minutes.

Sleepy but couldn't sleep.

It is quite hard when traveling with kids though.  We are always concern with everybody’s safety making sure they are buckled up and settled.  Keeping them entertained, too.  That’s also one of the reasons why I couldn’t sleep.  I let my daughter get comfortable on her seat first before I do.

  1. It’s been a long time since we have been on a plane to go somewhere. My husband and I are worried about taking our kids on a long 12 to 14 hours of flight when we go back to the Philippines. That’s why we are waiting until they are really old enough that we all get to enjoy our trip. I can sleep just about anywhere if I am really tired. I just get claustrophobic though being in a plane that long, and on my way here to the US, I thought I was going to have a panic attack. It was a good thing my husband told me to go walk down the hallway of the plane all the way to the back of the plane and watch the clouds outside. Wew!

    1. The problem also with me sis is that, after a few weeks vacation, I don’t feel like leaving. 🙂

  2. On our first international travel, I always take time to look at our travel path. That way I know where we are. I also watched movies, but that time, our baby was sick so he was cranky, was crying and we had to keep him away from all the other passengers who were taking their naps or sleeping…

  3. flying internationally is indeed very tireful, you are right it hurts your butt the most to sit on that seat, however everything goes away when you reached and landed on your destination, feels like you have adrenalin.
