Ready For Boarding

Air travel is one of the ideal means of traveling.  It is amazing how an airplane can carry more than a hundred passengers plus crew, equipment, and cargo flying miles around the world.  When we are up in the sky we wonder how these giant flying machines can soar as high as 35,000 to 40,000 feet more or less 15 hours up in the air.

Anyway, I enjoy flying.  Visiting different places by plane is truly a magnificent experience.  The very first flight I had was when I flew to the US to marry the man I love.  I was nervous at first because I had no idea what to do when I get to the airport.  I was worried about getting lost in the line and miss my flight.  On the other hand, I was excited about flying international for the very first time.  And everything went fine.

Upon boarding, I made sure I had all my documents ready in case the immigration staff asked for them.  Four of the most important things in my hand carry bag were passport, tickets, boarding passes, and money.  Baggage check-in with the corresponding carrier requires passport and air tickets.  If there’s an excess baggage, then is when you’ll be needing the money.   Then the airline staff will issue boarding passes after the baggage check is cleared.  Upon boarding the plane, an airline staff will ask for the boarding pass and passport.  When all the information is verified, passengers can board the aircraft.  Travel issues should be addressed and resolved early before getting on the plane.

How about you?  When was your first flight?  What did you feel?

  4. I love to travel too and I love to fly. But recently I’m kinda having anxieties when flying after watching shows related to plane crash or something like that. Not a good idea though.
