Dream Home

Thanks to Roman May

Last month we moved into a house on the lake that is twice as big as our previous home. One would think that this home was custom built for us. It has all of the luxuries we always wanted in a home. We have a large sunroom with floor to ceiling windows. Our master bedroom is on the main floor and we have all of the cabinet space we could ever want. The main floor is very open and it is great for family gatherings. It has a great yard where we built a fire pit. My husband is obsessed with keeping the yard perfect. We have everything moved in and set up. The only thing we have left to do is have an alarm system installed. My husband told me he found one at besthomesecurity.com that he wants to get. It is really important to him that I feel safe in our home because we are much further from our friends and neighbors than we were in our previous home. I love our new home and I think we will probably retire here.

Vacation To The Philippines 2009

My husband and I spent a three-week vacation to my homeland.  Although it was a tiring flight of 26 hours including the lay-over, we were very happy to be with my family back home.

First few days of  our arrival in Manila, we stayed at Cherry Blossoms Hotel in Manila.  The hotel is right behind Robinson’s Mall Ermita.  The room accommodation is very cheap and my husband doesn’t mind staying in a 3-star hotel.  We stayed 3D/2N at Baybayon ni Agalon Resort in Albuera, Leyte.  It is quite about 15-20 minutes SE of Ormoc City.  I like the way the resort required young kids to wear life jackets while splashing in the swimming pool.  The jackets are rented but, still, kids safety is important.  Room rates are affordable per room per night.  They have a mini-zoo with ostriches, monkeys, and few wild birds.  My niece and nephews enjoyed it there as well.

Next we stayed at Sabin Resort Hotel in Ormoc City.  My husband loved being there.  The room rates are reasonable for P 1,850.00 De Luxe Room.  Use of swimming pool is free for guests.  The food is great.  The only complain is the customer service.  My husband rated it as Good only.  Ten minutes for an instant coffee?  That’s ridiculous!  Anyway, we love being there because of the serenity of the place.  And the resort is closer to the city proper.

Then we stayed at Cebu Garden Hotel in Lahug, Cebu before our departure back to the US.  For P 1,400.00 per night, it was not bad at all.  About 10 minutes far from the shopping areas and 30 minutes ride to the airport, did not have complains.

And I am looking forward to our next vacation to the Philippines!  I hope it’ll be very soon.
